Sometimes an artist needs a reset; a project that truly touches their soul. For 2018, I decided to slow way down... as in, I've shot one wedding this month and booked two projects that are all my own [the work-a-holic me *gasps*]. To be honest, I have gotten a bit off track and swept away by the industry; that was never my intention. To be extra honest, I hate social media algorithms and being controlled by fear of failure. There is no failing in art. This year is going to be a time for me to get back to my roots. Shooting for fun, embracing freedom and maybe even writing about what makes me feel alive. If that sounds like something you're inspired by, book me! I want so much to be your photographer.
On to the best part of this post, my first bit of art for the year. To some this might just be another in-home session (we see how cherished they are all over instagram & pinterest), but to me, it was shooting two people who adored each other and didn't hold back.
Thank you, Brooke + Preston! <3
